We understand that trying anything new and unfamilar, especially a church, can be an uneasy experience. Most of us started out as guests too! That's why we developed this Visitor Center.

What kind of church is Rosemont Community Church?

We are a part of the Reformed Church in America, the oldest organized denomination in America. We are small in numbers, perhaps 160,000 members nation wide. Dr. Robert Schuler and Dr. Norman Vincent Peale were pastors of RCA Churches. It's similar to Presbyterian if that helps you. We are committed to helping people move to Christlikeness. Does Rosemont have a "Dress Code"?

Don't worry about what you're wearing. We're more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear, so dress casually, as if going to a friend's home-and relax.

Some "Good to know" information:

• When we say the Lord's Prayer, we use "Debts" and "Debtors".
• We stand for most Hymns.
• We stand for the Apostle's Creed.
  • I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth,
  • And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hades; The third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
  • I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy Christian church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.
  • Amen.
• We have a time for "Sharing the Peace" (The Peace of God be with you. - Response: And also with you.)
• We stand for the Doxology after the offering is collected.
• Communion is usually served by our Elders. It is open to all who are baptized. We use various kinds of bread and grape juice (It is a W&W communion, Wonder Bread and Welch's Juice).
• The children collect "pennies" to buy Goats for Africa. We have bought
